An Authentic Tuscan Experience.
We are a family rooted for generations in Montescudaio, a small Tuscan jewel between green hills
and the sea of the Costa degli Etruschi. Here, among olive trees and vineyards, our grandparents
left a deep mark: Grandpa Pietro and Grandma Anna with the cellar and oil mill of Azienda
Agricola San Valentino, where the DOC Montescudaio was born – one of Italy's oldest
appellations (1977). I still remember the smell of must in the morning, when I'd go down to the
cellar and he, with a smile, would let me taste the freshly pressed grape juice.
After his passing, we preserved the past without forcing it: the old cellars, open on two sides,
became Casetta Luna and Casetta Sole – two accommodations with private garden, cool in
summer, warm in winter, with exposed bricks and that scent of stone and wood that smells like
Tuscany. We continue to produce extra virgin olive oil from the hills of Montescudaio: a gentle,
fragrant and bold oil, to taste.
In the center of the village, there was Grandpa Mario's forge: he spent his days hammering gates,
hand-engraved rifles and running the Moto Guzzi and Lambretta dealership. Above the workshop,
the house has become Casina del Fabbro: exposed beams, fireplace, marble sink and a corner
that still smells of hot iron.
Three different accommodations, three souls of the same family: Luna and Sole born from DOC
Montescudaio wine, the Fabbro from the work of hands of an iron artist.
